Privacy policy

Short version: the BUY BUTTON extension does not collect, sell or share any personal data. It has no account, no analytics and no cookies. It only reads public market data about tokens. If you choose to buy with Apple Pay, the buy page uses a sign-in and payment partners, described below.
What the extension reads on X
On x.com and twitter.com, the extension scans the text of posts and bios in your browser for $TICKERs and contract addresses (0x + 40 hex characters). The text of posts never leaves your browser. Only the ticker or address that was found is used to look up a price.

These requests carry no identifier of you: no account, no user ID, no cookie set by us. Like any web request, they reach those services from your IP address, and each service handles it under its own policy. Our indexer runs on Vercel, which keeps standard short-lived request logs; we don't add any logging or analytics of our own.
What is stored
Your settings (on/off, enabled chains, Axiom referral code, buy page URL, Axiom link template) are saved with chrome.storage.sync, which Chrome keeps in your browser and syncs to your own Google account if you have Chrome sync on. Prices are cached in memory for 30 seconds and are gone when the browser closes the extension's background worker.
Wallets and money
The extension never asks for, reads or stores a wallet, a private key or a seed phrase, and never signs anything. Trade on Axiom opens Axiom in a new tab; anything you do there is between you and Axiom.
Buy with Apple Pay (optional)
Buy with Apple Pay opens our buy page, getbuybutton.world/buy. Only if you use it:
- Sign-in and wallet: you sign in with your email, Apple or Google account through Privy, which creates a wallet that only you control (you can export it at any time). Privy stores your login identifier and your wallet's public address.
- Payment: card and Apple Pay payments are processed by Privy's payment partners (Stripe or MoonPay), who may ask for identity verification as required by law. We never see your card details.
- Swap: the card payment arrives as USDC in your wallet; you then sign a one-time authorization and Relay swaps that USDC for the token and delivers it to your wallet.
We don't sell or share this information, and we don't use it for anything other than completing your purchase.
